Government Alimuddin College was established in 1970 by the late Asimuddin Ahmed, son of the late Alimuddin. The company has a special role in improving the quality of life in the area. At present the number of students in this college is about 10 thousand. The college has completed the centenary digitization work with the help of Motahar Hossain, the public leader of the area. This college has educational activities from high school to masters. Besides, BABSS activities of Bangladesh Open University are running in the institute. Boys and girls from different parts of the country, including this area, are getting education in this institution and are working in different higher positions of the country. In particular, the college is ranked 7th in the Rangpur region in the private report as the teachers of this college are responsible persons.
The only higher secondary education institution of Hatibandha Upazila is playing a hundred percent role in improving the quality and results of this education as before. At present, about 6500 students are studying in higher secondary, honors, degrees and masters in the said educational institution. The institution is playing a special role in various social, economic and environmental problems including providing scholarships to the socially disadvantaged and talented students. I feel that the technical knowledge of the students is increasing due to the special practice of science subject with hundreds of digitization. I wish success in higher institution.
